Kimberly clenched her fists as the sound of guns rang in her ears. She's never heard a gun before, it was terrifying and loud and it shook her very soul. She could have passed out if it weren't for her brother grasping her hand.
"We need to leave. We need to fucking go now."
She heard him yell. His words snapped her back into reality and she glanced around her. Dexter was right at her back and the blonde woman she and Ken helped up stood at her side. A bullet whizzed past her head and dug into the wall at her right. It was total chaos and she was lost in it's storming sea.
"Tim!" She heard a voice cry out to her left. A young man was standing in shock as the body of another man laid limply on the floor. It was holding down a black haired women who seemed angry and riled up. Kimberly got a good look at her, she noticed her eyes and their total lack of life. Whited out pits surrounded by bloody skin and a mouth full of human flesh.
Bullets hailed at the two bodies, blood spurting up into the air at Kim's face and chest.
She held herself back from vomiting.
Kim turned her attention back to the young man who seemed to be in distress. Her brother and Dexter were pulling her one way but in the middle of the shootout she felt like she needed to help the man.
"Come with us." She put her hand out and touched his arm but was quickly yanked away by her brother. As he dragged her deeper into the crowd, she was confused why they weren't headed towards the door.
"Kenneth what are you doing?" She cried, getting as close to him as she could. They waved in and out of the crowd, she watched as innocent people took bullets and landed on the ground. She watched as other humans bit and gnawed into another's flesh. What was going on? Was this even real? Was she still sleeping in the car?
"We need to get away from the guns, they're shooting anything in their view." Kenneth got down to ear level with Kimberly and then pushed her ahead of him. He grabbed Dexter and pulled him close. "Take the blonde, make sure she follows us. We need to take who ever we can out of this." She watched as Ken let go of Dexter's arm and pushed her further ahead of him, never letting go of the back of her tee shirt. She didn't know which way to turn, she was at a total loss and her whole body froze up in panic.
They reached the reception area where a man in a suit looked to be rummaging around the desk. A nurse laid dead on the floor behind him, she had been shot in the chest. Kimberly looked at her in shock, tears starting to stream from her eyes. To her horror the nurse's eyes flicked open and the once inanimate corpse leaned forward, grasping the suited man's leg and pulling him to the floor where she began gnawing at his thigh.
"Kenneth!" Kimberly shrieked, her brother snapping his attention forward, his arms wrapping around his sister in a protective motion. A shaking hand pointed at the scene on the floor behind the desk. She watched as her brother leaped over the table top and raise his skateboard into the air sending it crashing down into the nurse's head. She faltered for a second giving the suited man enough time to pull away.
"Ken he was bit." Kim yelled. He turned towards the suited man who began pleading for his life as if Kenneth were actually going to kill him. She watched her brother raise his board again and swing it backwards, knocking the nurse in the face once more.
"Give me the key card." He growled to the man.
"Fuck off." The suit yelled back, his hands covered in his own blood as he put pressure to his open wound.
"Give me the fucking card!" Kenneth yelled, pulling the knife from it's sheath. He held it at the man's throat, pulling him forward by his navy blue tie until the keycard was tossed towards the nurse on the floor behind him.
"Go get it." The suit spat before Ken tossed him backwards to another man who's eyes looked like the nurses.
Kimberly snapped out of her daze once more as the nurse grabbed at her brother's leg with a bloody hand. She darted around the desk and with a quick motion she landed her foot into the shoulder of the nurse, breaking the grasp on her brother. She swiped the key card off the floor and made for the corridor to the right, Kenneth dashing to her side with his arm around her shoulder.
"We have to wait for Dexter." She cried, handing the keycard to Kenneth.
"We will, don't worry. Just stay at my side. Once we open this door everyone is going to try and get through. We have to do it quickly."

Dexter examined the mass amount of people awaiting to enter the Hospital. He had wondered why nobody was
going in. What were they even waiting for? He looked to Kenneth with a cheeky grin. He knew he knew his lie
wasn't going to pass, then again was he really actually trying to get away with it? His smile suddenly faded as
he heard that they were going to leave.
"I drove all zis vay just to leave? Zats blöd"
Dexter was somewhat furious. He didn't expect for Kenneth to know what he had just said, but he didn't care.
He had rushed all they way here just for them to leave. That wasn't something he wanted to do. Being the
stubborn person that he was, he was determined to do what he had drove three hours to do and that was
to get this fucking shot. He was just about to push his way through the crowd of people when he noticed a
blonde tumble into Kenneth. Dexter blinked a few times toward the two, his head tilting slightly. He had the
look of 'Did I miss something?' along his face.
Dexter walked up to both Kenneth and the unnamed woman just as she was speaking. The only people that
he knew who had guns, were the guards. Did they really just aim their weapons at an unarmed civilian?
Dexter's stomach turned, it was almost in knots. Kenneth's idea about leaving wasn't so stupid now. They
were no longer safe, and that was something he could agree with Kenny on.
The sudden noise coming from the crowd caught his attention. That couldn't be good, Dexter wanted to
find out what was going on, yet when he tried to look past the crowd he saw nothing. The next thing he
heard was the sound of a gun shot which had caused Dexter to jump out of his skin. Shortly after their
was a barrage of shots fire. This as not a place he wanted to be.
Dexter reached into his right pants pocket pulling out his gravity knife keeping it sheathed. He wanted
it to be in hand just in case he needed it. Kenneth had suddenly pulled him over his voice was lowered as
he spoke
"Take the blonde, make sure she follows us. We need to take whoever we can out of this."
Dexter rolled his eyes at his statement. He didn't know the woman. Why should he take a complete
stranger along with them. It wasn't like they weren't capable of handling things on their own. Before
he could even object Kenneth was already gone along with Kimberly who had taken with him.
"Verdammt!"
Dexter let out an agitated groan as he quickly grabbed the blondes hand. If he wanted to catch up
to the both of them he had to be quick on his feet.
"Keep your head down."
Upon saying those words, he did in fact keep his head down as he rushed his way through the crowd.
Dexter kept a tight grip on the woman's hand, hoping that she would heed his words. It was better
to be safe than sorry. As he reached the end of the crowd, he noticed both Kenneth and Kim at
the receptionist desk, coming just in time to see Kimberly kick the nurse in the shoulder. What
the fuck was wrong with that nurse? This just freaked out Dexter even more.
Dexter ran toward Kimberly and Kenneth, as the ran into the right corridor. When reaching
the two, he had let go of the female's hand before quickly running his hands through his
dark brown hair. He was in some sort of a panic, his breaths were much quicker. All of this
shit happening was putting him off edge.
"Zis is fucked. It's soo fucked."

Jane held onto the tattooed man's arm who just helped her back up to her feet. "I didn't know what to do...I just fell. I couldn't do anything. He held a gun to my head. Thank you, again." she spoke very melancholy as she looked past the man and the woman standing next to him with long curly hair. She stared at the crowd of very sickly and upset people as she immediately tried to compose herself attempting to grasp whatever could posses a man to point blank raise a gun right in front of her face. All she did was ask him a question in desperation having nothing to do with the so-called vaccine. "Wait he held a gun to you? What do you mean?" Jane broke out of her trance still holding onto the tattooed man's arm as she looked directly into the eyes of this random stranger. "All I did was ask him for my help. My mother is in this hospital somewhere. I just asked to get through to see her. I tried to tell him I wasn't even here for the vaccine before he raised his gun to me. That's when I fell." Jane was very scared at this point. People that were obviously sick, weren't being attended to, and others getting riled up because there was no update as to when they would be receiving the vaccine.
"We need to get out of here. This was a bad idea." Jane looked away from the outraged crowd of people pulling her attention to the two directly in front of her. She stared at them waiting to follow their lead. It was clear to her that she had no fucking idea what to do and that the man with tattoos seemed considerably more level headed than she was. She glanced behind the two in front of her as she noticed another man standing behind them. "If you know what's good for you, you'll leave too." It was obvious to her that these two knew the man she just noticed. The man with tattoos turned to her as he spoke very calmly "This isn't safe." That statement reassured her that it was time to get the fuck out of here. Suddenly the room that was once filled with chatter and angry commentary fell quickly as people started screaming.
Jane stood up on her tip-toes trying to look past the massive crowd in front of her. Though she was unable to see anything, seconds later the sound of a single gunshot filed the room causing people to start screaming and most of them heading for the exits. With the crowd trying to run out the doors, she finally got a good enough look to see what was going on. She saw a single guard standing over the body of a dark haired woman, skin hanging from her jaw, a massive bite mark on her leg, followed by a huge pool of blood. As a panicked room of people were trying to leave she noticed all of the guards raising their guns now. What the fuck was going on? Was this a trap? They seemed ready to take whatever precautions necessary to protect themselves without having any regard for the innocents that were here.
Jane took her eyes off the the guards securing the exits to look back at the man with the gun who she assumed shot the dark haired woman, whose lifeless body was lying on the ground. The room watched as the man gave the other guards a signal implying that she was dead for sure but her face quickly turned pale as the corpse sat up straight and took a huge chunk of his flesh off the man's arm, blood spraying all over the floor. All of people including herself began to scream in horror when there were sounds of more guns being fired Seconds later she was unable to see what was happening as the entire lobby was in complete chaos. Apprehensive, the man with tattoos finally spoke. "We need to leave. We need to fucking go now." As she broke her attention from the woman who appeared dead moments earlier she heard a horrified scream in the crowd. "Tim!"
As the entire lobby fell into dismay, Jane began to look around noticing that it was not only just the dark haired woman attacking, but quite a few sick people she had only looked at for seconds, began tearing their teeth into others as blood began to fill the lobby floor like a broken water pipe. Her attention broke from the crowd as she heard the tattooed man speak "Take the blonde, make sure she follows us. We need to take whoever we can out of this." Realizing he was talking to this incredibly handsome brown-haired man that she noticed earlier, she picked up quickly that this man's obvious annoyance wasn't hidden very well by the demand. Before she could even respond the brown-haired man screamed "Verdammt!" and it finally became clear to her that English was not this man's first language. Following this man's loud groaning he spoke to her "Keep your head down." the now obvious handsome man had a heavy German accent. He gripped her hand very tightly and Jane started to run along with him half slipping on the blood all over the tiled lobby. Getting closer to the main desk she looked around in every direction very quickly as more and more bodies filled the floor, and other's that were there minutes earlier sat upright and began attacking anyone close to them. As they made haste towards one of the corridors, she and the German saw the woman with long curly hair violently kick a nurse who had a hold on the tattooed man. Jane starting getting out of breath as they pushed their way through the massive crowd of bloodied people. All she could think to herself was "What in the actual fuck is going on? This is not how I thought my day would go." As they turned the right corridor, the German let go of her, she looked around noticing the tattooed man and the curly haired woman he was with. It became clear to her that she shouldn't leave these people. She didn't know what the fuck was going on, and even though it seemed like they didn't either. It seemed whatever plan the tattooed man had, it was much better than staying in the lobby having these crazy fucks eat away at her.

Riley Wells
Instinctively, Riley took a step forward. He was about to rush in to help. Well, more like rush in to get shot. A hand touched his arm, a young woman’s voice saying “Come with us” drew him enough into reality to not walk right into his death. Fuck. Fuck people were dying and bleeding and what the fuck was happening? He ducked after her and the tattooed man that was pulling her through the crowd.
A daze was gripping Riley, the sensation of your brain swimming in over stimulation mixed with the adrenaline of the need to fix things. He followed almost blindly, but the daze was nearly smacked away by the abrassive nature of the tattooed man.
What were they going to do? Run to where? The parking lot would be chaos. Not to mention he didn't drive here. Tim did. Tim. Fuck. Tim was dead. The blood pouring out of his body was painfully plastered to the front of his mind. Tim was so incredibly dead but part of Riley still wanted to go check on him. Was he okay? No. Of course not. He's dead. His mind kept spinning in circles of a weird desire to go back for him and the reality smacking back into him. Tim had the keys to his dorky little car. Maybe it was cute. Maybe the way his hair touched the top of the car while he drove was endearing?
Was it? Did it matter anymore? He could never tell him now, and he'd never see it again to give it a fair chance. He wasn't head over heels for Tim. He was honestly a slightly underwhelming boyfriend but that was almost nice. Maybe it was just trauma. He didn't know. Did he like Tim that much? No. No they would probably have broken up sooner rather than later. But now he was dead and Riley wasn’t sure if there was any of his blood on him but he was too shaky to even try and check.
What was he thinking about again? Oh. Leaving. Right. How were they going to leave? They had to get away from the chaos. Even getting down the hallway was going to be a challenge.
“We could try and steal an ambulance,” he suggested at the first real silent moment between them. Maybe they couldn’t. But maybe they could. “It would have some medication and a lot of medical supplies and- at least one is probably sitting running. When I drop people off at emergency entrances I don't take the keys out. Don't think any EMTs do. Plus most of these people are gonna go for main doors not an emergency trauma entrance.”
A hand ran through his curls, and then did it again. These kinds of emergencies were the worst. He couldn’t help. Fighting? Not his forte. Running? That was fine. But you can’t treat… whatever the fuck just happened.
“Shit,” he muttered to himself. Taking a deep breath while keeping up with the people who had probably already saved his life. He rubbed his face vigorously with his hands, “Thanks, by the way. For snapping me out of it.”

As they walked through the doors, Anna had made a few pointed remarks at her bodyguard. Her grin faded from her face as she heard the sound of gunfire close by. Amadeus’ hand shot up, meant to keep her in place. “Do you think the virus…?” She trailed off, her mind working as fast as possible to identify what was going on. She wasn’t brave, but she sure as hell wasn’t afraid, either. Panic is what got you killed in situations like these. “Go get in the car.” Amadeus’ voice was more than serious and it gave her chills. They ran down her spine, leaving her fingers and toes tingling. She took a step forward. “But the vaccine-” “Now, Anna. Get in the car now.” More gunfire and a few of the people waiting in the crowd dropped to the floor. Anna could feel her world tip to the side as Amadeus tackled her to the ground, throwing his body over her own. She could her him hiss, his muscles tensing- screaming and chaos made her sight turn red, but she could feel Amadeus yank her off the ground and force her up. The confusion was an unexpected element to their day and Anna would have to take a moment to reposition her mind to a better state. Anna couldn’t do anything but stare at the man, who’d most surely been at least grazed by one of the bullets, dragging her along. “The car won’t be an option.” His voice was low, his eyes moving towards the pile of bodies near the door. The fact that they’d avoided death despite being near the gunfire were some ridiculous odds; she remembered the thunk sound as a bullet whizzed by her head. She didn’t want to know what would’ve happened had it been aimed a little closer to her head. Anna just couldn’t say anything. How useless was she at this point? She needed to shake out of it. She’d been shot before, so why was it scaring her now? How damned pathetic! With a loud smack, she had left a red, angry mark on her face. Amadeus simply turned to stare at her as he pulled her into the right corridor. She noticed a man covered in tattoos assailing another man in a suit, only for the man to flick something away and take the big guy's attention with it. The girl picked up the card and handed it to the man, who seemed intent on taking the card that would definitely get them into the deeper levels of the hospital. Not wanting to be part of whatever party was going on out here, she ran towards him, kneeing him in the balls before quickly snatching the card out of his hands- he was taking too fucking long! With strength nobody would expect a girl like her to have she quickly opened the door with the keycard, which Amadeus propped open as she attempted to drag the tattooed man in through the entrance. “You didn't have to hit him in the-” Amadeus winced at the impact, which he certainly felt ghosted around his own gonads. “Make sure that nothing clearly rabid comes through. Clearly we’re dealing with a virus and we don't know whether it's airborne or not.” It seemed like she'd snapped out of her official shock and she watched, warily, as Amadeus moved to pull his gun out of his suit. “You can’t pull out your gun.” She hissed, her eyes darting down the hallway. They weren't supposed to have these now and they would attract attention. “I’m going to make sure that whatever decides to come through that door that isn’t thinking like a human doesn’t make it through.” He replied, stubbornly. Just as she'd expected him to. “Correct me if I’m mistaken but you literally just survived a bullet wound.” She nodded to his back, where there was only a slight amount of blood. It had, after all, simply grazed the top flesh. Amadeus was ridiculously lucky- or rather, unlucky- today. “What? Fuck, did I actually?” “You didn’t notice?” “I’m noticing now. Shit, that hurts.” Maybe it would’ve been better if she hadn’t pointed it out. |

Amadeus really didn't like the way today was going. First of all, he was grazed by a bullet, which hurt like a bitch. Second of all, he was trapped in a hospital because people felt like playing stack-their-bodies as they died and there may be an airborne virus floating around. Third, he was stuck with Anna and a bunch of other people he didn't know. On the bright side, at least he was behind the door rather than out there getting his throat torn out. Still, if anything happened to Anna, he might end up feeling slightly bad. His hands weren't shaking for the most part as he'd hold the door open for anyone who wanted to get in, but his gun was aimed directly for the entrance. He wanted as many survivors as possible, because the more survivors the better. Okay, so he wasn't thinking practically- he only hoped that the guy who nearly got his gonads crushed was okay. “I wouldn't expect you of all people to take pity on someone you kicked in the nuts.” He said with a rather low voice, taking his gun out of the inside of his suit. He kept the holster there for cool purposes, not really ethical. He just wanted to look like the FBI while doing his cool shit. Still, he waved the gun at whoever looked less than humane while ushering as many as he could in before slammnig the door shut in the face of an overexcited corpse-looking motherfucker. He could feel Anna's heated, signature glare on his back, to which he turned around slowly, hands up as he gave a sheepish smile. "The guy had a keycard. He harassed an employee for one. He also may be a local who's been here before, so that means he may know more about this place than we do. Let's use him." “Use is such a not-nice word. How about… work cooperatively?” “Are you bullshitting me? We don't have time for that.” “Come on, Anna. For a rich girl you don't have many manners.” “Don't call me a rich girl!” Despite the fact both of them were on the same team here, their usual banter wasn't getting them anywhere. Anna's rage turned to mourning as she recalled her beloved vehicle. “My car…” Anna murmured, her eyebrows tightly knit as her expression distorted into despair. She was more concerned about her car right now, rather than the fact a shit ton of people just died and they might be next. Amadeus wanted to say he was shocked, but it didn't surprise him coming from Anna. “You can't even drive.” Amadeus retorted, earning himself another glare. Another point for Amadeus, he thought bitterly. His eyes scanned the sorry crowd they had right in front of them, an eyebrow raised. Some of the girls didn't look half-bad, but Anna was by far the worst of them. Especially with that personality. Despite their casual banter, he was still looking for threats and he would eliminate anyone who deemed themselves neccesary to eliminate. Damn, he sounded like the terminator. He wondered how cool he looked with a gun- he wished he had a mirror about now. “That's not the principle- it had heated seats. And bulletproof windows.” “Buy another one.” “Do you even know how difficult it is to find a car with bulletproof windows or someone willing to sell something like that to someone with no license?” Supposedly this is what it took to keep sane, acting as if it were a completely normal day, as if there had been no inescapable death trap back there. Anna, who was sitting on the floor by the man she’d pulled a nutcracker on, glanced up at Amadeus. Amadeus felt like he had an itchy trigger finger- he didn't like the guy with all of the tattoos. Maybe it was because of his appearance... he liked suits. Of which only he, out of all of the people here, were wearing. Everyone would look better in a suit right now. “My father. He’ll be sending in a detail, won't he?” Amadeus turned to Anna. “He has a plan. If this thing was really as bad as he thought, he was gonna get out of the country for a bit- not until he hears news, though. If we’re lucky, he’ll come for us with a chopper first. Let me see if I can…” The pause was real. He’d left his phone in Anna’s car, on the charger. That was just like him. “Maybe you can?” Anna sighed. “First of all, I'm not going anywhere without that vaccine. Bite me. Until I get my hands on a sample we can mass-produce and sell, you and I aren't leaving. We’re trapped here anyways.” Why did Anna have to be this difficult? He couldn't even tell if she had her phone on her anyways. It was never a good idea to let Anna take the lead because she'd sacrifice whatever and whoever she needed to, simply to get where she needed to go. “Tattoos!" She snapped her fingers to get the poor man's attention. “Where's the vaccine located?” Amadeus sighed, his grip on his gun tightening. Jesus, he think he got what the others meant when they said she was hard to work with- even if the mission was compromised, she'd still go for success. Why did he have to get stuck with the insane overachiever? If he died today because of her he was gonna haunt her forever. |

The Plot Progresses...
Everyone is safely in the hospital's right corridor. The door has been shut and locked behind them, trapping the lobby's chaos away for now. No one can leave through the door they came and so an alternative exit needs to be found. Using their common sense and skills, you character should formulate their idea of what's happened and what they can do next to contribute to the group. This is where their actions and interactions matter! Make friends or make enemies.
Some things to note:
- If your character has or acquires a gun, their ammo is limited.
- If your character had or acquires a melee weapon, it should make sense. No one should find a random katana laying around.
- The outside of the hospital and into the city is in chaos. The infection is nit full on, but it's likely safer in a room with the door closed than it is to wonder the streets.
- If your character decides to wonder off, don't stray too far!

The lobby was in complete chaos and diving deeper by the second. He had successfully gotten the keycard for the hall door and he desperately hoped that on the other side of the thick metal doors there was some sort of momentary solace.
Ken held Kim's hand so tightly he had to stop himself from squeezing or he may have broke something. A young man stood sheepishly next to her, he looked just as terrified as she did- if not more. Dexter finally appeared from the crowd with the blonde and as he was about to saddle up and swipe the card to the doors an unmistakable and excruciating pain radiated from the tips of his toes, up his spine, and back down- Knees buckling in an instant.
Did someone just kick me in the fucking nut sack?
The room went black for a moment and when his vision returned a small framed women and larger man in a suit were dragging him through the doors of the corridor. Great, another suit. In a panic Ken rose to his hands and knees, ignoring the terrible pain he felt all over his body from the cheap shot, and looked around the narrow halls for his baby sister.
"What the fuck was that for?" Kimberly's angered voice rang out against the walls. Kenneth rose to one knee, still hunched over in pain.
"Kim," He managed out, even talking felt like hell right now.
"You hit my brother! For the fucking card? He was going to unlock the fucking door you bitch!" Kimberly was yelling now, the catty spitfire he knew her to be showing loud and proud.
"Kim, let it go." He grunted, pulling himself to his feet. He staggered backwards into the suited man before leaning up against the wall. He held his stomach, trying his best to keep the small amount of food he ate down.
"No fuck this bitch, that was dumb as hell!" Kimberly's fists were balled up at her sides and before she could do something equally as stupid kicking a complete stranger in the nuts he leaned forward and grabbed her, pulling her backwards to the wall.
"Enough, Kim. I'm fine, you're fine. We're all fine. That's all I care about right now." He spoke to calm her down but his eyes were stuck in an angered glare to the women who hit him. "We need to figure out what's going on." He stood up straight, the pain finally subsiding, and slid his board onto the floor and held his hand under his arm against the blade he had sheathed.
Kenneth's eyes studied the small group that had made it through the doors. No one seemed hurt, but scared and shook up as all hell. The hall was surprisinglyquiet, it seemed as though the hospital staff may have booked it at the first sign of danger. Good for them.
All the doors lining the corridor seemed to be closed and for now he wanted to keep it that way, who knows what was behind them. At the very end of the hall was an elevator and a door to the stair well, aside from the heavy breathing and quiet sobbing within the group things were relatively quiet save for the muffled sounds of the lobby.
"I'd imagine no one knows what the fuck is going on here, right?" Kenneth ran his fingers through his dirty blonde hair and pulled his cigarettes out from his pocket.
"Realy, Ken?" His sister snapped at him.
"You think some fucking smoke in the hospital is a big concern for anyone right now, Kim?" He growled, lighting the stick and inhaling deeply. The nicotine almost immediately calmed his shaking hands. When Kimberly didn't respond he kept going. "I feel like this is a god damn movie. I don't even want to say what I'm thinking so some one please tell me they have a better idea of what the hell is going on here." His tone sounded desperate and angered. He didn't like where his thoughts were headed and he wished someone had a better explanation.
He glanced at Dex to make sure he was in one piece. The poor German bastard looked only the slightest bit phased and he wasn't sure if it was due to his general lack of empathy or if he was in shock. Ken turned his attention to the young man his sister had saved from the gun man. The look across his face was terrible and in an effort to calm the poor guy Kenneth opened his pack of camels and offered him a cigarette. "Take one," he began, dragging a deep breath from his own. "It'll help calm your nerves." Out of the corner of his eye he noticed the suited man had a something just a bit alarming.
"You have a gun?" He glared down at the pistol and up to the suited man's eyes. His hand reached back up for his blade and he took a step back, and arm reaching out to push Kim behind him. "Who the hell are you?"

This is a joke, right? Kimberly couldn't believe any of it. Everything was a mess; Every single step of the way. Besides the insanity that was Sarasota Hospital at the moment she now found herself holding back the urge to punch this chick in the face. Why in the world would you hit a man there? And in such a serious situation? What if they had left him there! She wouldn't have even noticed until the situation had resolved and the door had already been shut- Kim and Ken on the bad side of it. Everything was a mess at the moment and Kim was having a hard time juggling each situation separately.
Her brother began to de-escalate the whole assault for the keycard. She found herself calming down as he reeled her back in. She was thankful they were all together and unscathed, however for some reason the only thing passing through her mind right now was how close this blonde girl was standing next to Dexter. She found herself glaring at the girl, studying her pretty blond hair and bright blue eyes. She could see them together too, that made her lips turn into a disgusted frown.
Really brain? Is now really the time to get jealous?
She snapped out of it as she watched her brother pull out a cigarette.
"Realy, Ken?" She had it in her right mind to swipe the whole pack from him and toss it back out into the lobby.
"You think some fucking smoke in the hospital is a big concern for anyone right now, Kim?"
His tone was rather aggressive and she took a step back. If this was the end of the world- which is sure felt like- he'd eventually run out of cancer sticks to smoke.
Shrugging off Ken's snap she noticed the young guy she had tried to pull with them had actually followed. With a warm touch she placed her hand on his shoulder and gave him a hollow smile.
"Are you, alright?" She whispered. "No- Don't answer that. Of cour-" Kim was cut off by her brother offering the guy a cigarette. Really, Kenneth?
As she was about to speak up in protest her heart dropped when she heard the word gun.
"You have a gun? Who the hell are you?" Her brother interrogated the man in the suit. She had enough guns for the day and her stomach turned at the idea of him being one of those goons from the lobby. However, his gun was much smaller than their's.
Kenneth pushed Kimberly behind his back and she peered at the man from over his shoulder. She prayed to whatever god was out there that this didn't turn south.

Dexter was slightly freaked out with this whole thing. The bad ass who didn’t take shit from anyone, had started to pace around as he looked back in the direction toward the main lobby where Kenneth had gotten the key card. Dexter couldn’t seem to wrap his head around the situation. Nothing was making any sense to him.
Dexter stepped away from the group, walking back towards where they
had come from. He brushed both hands through the dark brown locks,
taking deep steady breaths as he turned to face the wall placing both
hands up against it as if he were under arrest. Dexter may had been a
hard ass, but when he was under really intense pressure, he would
somewhat panic. That was something Kenneth nor Kimberly knew
about him, and to him it was best if they didn't. He had to protect his
image,but in a situation like this..Was his image really worth protecting?
Dexter tuned out the commotion coming from the others. Everything
turned into muffled voice. This wasn't happening, none of this was
happening. Dexter kept away from the group, up until hearing
Kimberly's voice. He quickly turned his head in their direction only
to notice Kenneth keeled over along with two new faces that were
right in front of him. The strange female now being in possession
of the key card.
"Vat the actual fuck?"
Dexter started for them just as they opened the metal doors, and
dragged Kenneth through the doors. Everyone else following close
behind, Dexter being the last body to pass through as the doors
slammed shut behind him. Before he could help Kenneth to his feet,
he was already up and smoking. Kimberly was furious, and by the
looks of it one of those strangers had something to due with
Kenneth being in pain.
He listened to Kenneth's small rant, Kimberly's as well. Dexter
didn't have a plan, he was just as confused as everyone else.
Dexter still had his knife in hand, not putting it away from when
he had taken it out. He slide his thumb onto the button, which
lied on the side of the handle. Dexter had kept his hand to his
keeping the blade unseen. His eyes focused on the two.
Dexter took a few steps closer towards Kenny and the others.
His brown eyes solely focused on these two that decided to
help themselves to the key card. Whoever they were, Dexter
didn't see them as allies, not wit the stunt they had pulled.
"You have a gun?"
Dexter stopped, his thumb quickly pressing the button. The
silver blade released itself from the handle. This was not
how he wanted things to happen. Dexter growled upon
"Put ze gun down. We zon't vant anyvon getting hurt."
Whether they decided to comply, well that was their
choice. Dexter was ready to jump in if need be, even
if he did only have a knife on him
