Kenneth helped the silver haired girl off the hood and took off towards his car. She kept up with him, hollering questions as the went forward.
"Where are we going? Thank you for doing that, and helping me down. You quite literally saved my life. Do you have any idea what's going on here? What any of this means?" She spoke, projecting her voice to reach Ken.
"It's no problem. I'm glad you're ok. We're headed to my car, then to the hospital. It's a long story, I'm not sure anyone had a clue." He turned his head slightly and yelled back, glancing forward every few words.
The car was straight ahead, and so was one of...them. They stood right next to his car, actually. It had the same features as they all did: Bloodshot eyes, pale sickly skin, and blood- everywhere.
Kenneth stopped in his tracks and the girl stopped right behind him.
"I'm Lilianna, call me Lana if you want. Can I know your name?" She spoke. She must be in shock, she's acting rather calm. Now wasn't really the time for pleasantries.
"I'm Kenneth, I'd say it's nice to meet you but under the circumstances I bet you'd wish you never met me either." He tried to smile, doing his best to keep her as calm as she was. It was going to be hard, though, once he pointed out their current destination.
"Look, my gun is in my car. That's why I'm out here." He swallowed hard, he'd kill for a butt right now. Maybe he had more in the car... "I need to get the gun and get back into the hospital. Like I said, it's a long story. If you want to go your separate way I understand, but I need to get back into that hospital." He watched her face, waiting for some sort of visual response. "And see that thing over there? Thats where I'm headed" He pointed to the guy limping ominously by his car. "I'd imagine he came from the hospital..."
Against better judgement and time he pulled out his cigarettes and lit the half he saved from earlier. He dragged it long and hard, exhaling his doubts before tossing the butt to the ground and hopping back on his board. "Look, wait here and just stay back. This will only take a minute."
Kenneth lunged forward towards his car, the thing immediately turning it's attention to the sound of the wheels on the pavement. As he got to the vehicle he leaped off his board, barreling his body into the man's, knocking it to the street a few feet away.
Ken fidgeted at his belt loop where his keys hung, his thumb found the car unlock and he hit it a few times, the lights flickering on and back off. The man was still on the ground but would be on his feet soon. Kenneth darted for the sidewalk, yanking the driver-side door open and reaching for the lock box under the seat. He pulled it out, dumping it all out onto the driver's seat. He ripped his backpack off his shoulder and unzipped it, piling the ammo into the front pocket, saving a dozen for his jean pockets.
He looked up to see the man at his passenger door, banging at the glass. This thing wasn't too smart, thank god.
As Ken pulled the backpack over his shoulders once more he reached for his glove compartment, pulling a fresh pack of smokes he had stowed away and shoving them into his back pocket.
The revolver was ready and loaded, he took the safety off and held onto it firmly with his right hand. Ken shut his car door and headed back towards the girl, carrying his board in his left hand.
"Are you coming with me?" He asked, keeping an eye on the thing wondering away from the car towards them slowly.

Lilianna had to consider herself lucky, at least she was found and saved by someone with sanity and working emotions. She, however, was not in shock. She'd come to terms with the fact she was about to tie, whether it be alone or whether it be due to her own stupid mistakes in leaving the sanctuary of her home. With a deep inhale she sprinted to match the pace of the skateboarding male before her. When he stopped, she stopped and ducked by a car as he eyed a creature a few cars ahead of them - whom had yet to have noticed their existence. "The hospital? That's where I was going before I got stuck," she replied, agreeing to go with him to the destination shed so desperately craved. She wasn't one to beat around the bush, and frankly this "Kenneth" probably thought she was crazy for wanting to be formal in such a situation; but she had no one in this town and thought hey- when life gives you lemons, right? "Well, I can't say this is the best way to meet someone but under no circumstances to I have any regret for meeting you. Just for the time and place," she chucked a bit, no real emotion to her tone. She wasn't quite upset, however she'd given up a while ago so she had no real will to fight. "Wait, you're saying that thing came from the same hospital we're going back to?" she blinked, looking back to it's body. "That's... great," she hesitantly chuckled, placing her right hand over her forehead. "Go... Get your gun.. I'll stick around for as long as you let me.. strength in numbers, right?" she agreed, watching him skate into the face of danger. Lilianna rustled through her pocket and pulled her phone out once more; opening that same Snapchat app and depending completely on her 4G. Hopefully she still had signal in the midst of the end. "Hey, Mom, Dad. I wanted to keep you updated for as long as I could," she began, inhaling and flipping the camera to focus on Kenneth's body. "This kid came when I thought it was all over.. long story short, I got stuck and those things almost got me," she explained, switching the camera back onto her face as she sniffed from both running and crying earlier. "I'm going to stay with him.. He saved my life, so maybe he can get us both to safety, right?" the video came to an end, and Lana placed her finger over the contacts to send it to. She hesitated over the name "Dan", her breath hitching as tears welled up in her eyes before she clicked it. He had a right to know, if he even cared. Maybe he'd think she was lying.. Maybe he'd block her. Beginning a new video, she looked forward, watching Kenneth in this predicament as she started filming. "So, I'm hoping to be able to come home to you soon. I should never have left. Please, stay there and stay safe.. Hopefully nothing like this is happening at home.. Hopefully you're still alive and well, and can even get this." All of her thoughts began to whirl, coming to the conclusion that maybe this epidemic started at home as well and that perhaps everything she'd known was dead. "Well," she said, using her arm to wipe her nose before continuing. "I'll be fine, and I'll send you as many videos and updates as I can," her eyes gazed up before the voice of Kenneth was clearly distinguishable. 'Are you coming with me?' clearly recognizable on the video. Lana replied with a nod, looking back to the phone. "Love you guys, bye," she covered the camera with her hand before pressing the send button to her mother and father. "Sorry, that was probably weird. I just moved to town, and my mom and dad were always worried I'd get into something dangerous... I think this counts, right?" she chuckled to herself, glancing back to the creature as she followed Kenneth back to their destination.

As the situation with the insane mobster murderer de-escalated another problem presented itself. The girl, Jane, had stumbled into the room followed by one of the things. Kim didn't know what to call them yet, she knew everyone must be thinking the same thing... zombies.... but they're only in movies, right? Kim froze in fear, latching herself onto Dexters' arm and stepping behind his shoulder. She was scared, very scared. She didn't realize just how scared she was until that very moment. She hadn't heard any of the conversation that was happening among Riley and Amadeus until the sound of a gun rang loud in her already pulsating ear drums over the horrid alarm. She snapped out of her trance and whipped back to her normal self.
"Jesus christ." She yelled, realizing what had just happened. Before she could bitch out Amadeus once more the group had already headed down the hall, Kim following close behind Dexter. She hadn't even realized that she was holding his hand, squeezing the life out of it. How long had she been holding his hand for? She pulled away, blushing in the safety of the dark hall.
"Dex," Kim began, talking loudly as the group came to a halt. "I'm worried about Ken, I feel like he's been gone for ages." She was hoping maybe he had heard from Ken. Kim was too scared to call or text him herself, she had already assumed the worst.
Her conversation with Dexter stopped just as quickly as it began. The group was moving again, circling a large metal structure in the middle of the second floor waiting room. As she rounded to it's front their concern with the structure became apparent. "VACCINE". It read loud and clear, the all must have known what was next. She held her breath as Anna slid the keycard into the lock and her heart sank with it's response. "ACCESS DENIED." Great, just great. What where they going to do now?
"We need to find the right keycard." Anna spoke. This was the first time Kim agreed with the black-haired bitch. She was right, but where the hell where they going to find the right one?
"Once we get those vaccinations we can get the fu-" Anna began, but was interrupted by more gun fire.
Kim hung onto Dexter again, looking around her for the source of fire. It was Amadeus, he was standing behind Anna. Those... things... the Zombies were attacking him. Blood was everywhere, spraying on Anna. Before Kim could even comprehend what had happened Anna had pulled the gun from his hand and shot him in the skull.
Kim screamed, she couldn't hold it together right now. What the fuck was going on? She just shot her friend in the head! This can't be real, non of this is real. Kim fell to the floor, holding her head in her hands as she tried to shake herself from the whole situation. She was loosing it, and fast. Kenneth... Where's Kenneth?

Dexter gripped Kimberly’s hand tight as they moved out of the room and into the hallway. The imaging of the suited man constantly replaying in his head. It made his stomach turning in the most unsettling way. Seeing the other... thing...barge into the room didn’t help either. Dexter didn’t know what to think let alone what to even say besides nothing at this point.
Before he could let his mind ponder anymore on the thought, He felt Kimberly latch onto his arm. It was almost soothing knowing that he had at least one person that he knew there with him. Upon making it down the hall with the rest of the group, Dexter no longer felt Kimberly’s grip around his arm.
Dexter's gaze quickly turning towards her with a confused look on his face. Just as he was about to speak, she had already started the conversation. With his peach lips forming into a small smile, he replied.
“I’m sure he is fine. Zon’t vorry too much.”
Dexter was worried as well but, for Kim’s sake, he had to keep calm. If he started to panic, it wouldn’t do them any good. Before he could continue on, the group started to move again. This time around a metal structure placed in the center of the waiting room. Dexter’s blue eyes lit up as he read the words plastered in red on the container “Vaccine.” Finally, they wouldn’t have to worry about become whatever the hell these ‘creatures’ were.
Dexter waited patiently as Anna put the key card into lock only to be disappointed with the slight sound of denial. Why on earth would he even think it would be this easy? He let out a sigh just as Anna mentioned finding another key card. With that being said, there were bound to be more of those things wherever they had gone.
Dexter started to part himself from the group to see if he can get a better look on things. Hopefully he could find some sort of clue as to the where-a-bouts to the correct key card He didn’t manage to get to far as the sound of gunshot caught his attention.
Dexter whipped around swiftly just in time to notice Anna quickly pulling off the inhuman monsters off of her counter part. Blood splattered across the floor, along with gushing from the suited man's right jugular. Dexter's eyes widened as Anna turned the gun on the suited man followed by a loud bang.
Dexter jumped slightly at the sound, it echoing through the waiting area. The suited man was now dead. Everything around him had started to slow down, even the sounds had gone muffled. He couldn't believe what had just happened. It had taken him a couple of seconds to snap out of it just as he heard the sound of Kim's screams
Dexter jolted toward her, quickly placing her into a tight hug in attempts to calm her down. This was something she didn't have to see, not like this. He placed his right hand on the back of Kimberly's head while the other hand was on the middle of her back.
"Shh. Kim. It's ok. Just zon't look."
His blue eyes turned toward Anna. Dexter couldn't bring up any words to say to her, but his eyes told how sorry he was that she had to perform such actions. Still holding Kim, he spoke loud enough for everyone to hear.
"Vee need to find zat card and get out of here." Dexter could care less about the vaccine right now, but he knew everyone else would surely want it. He sure as hell wasn't going to leave Kim with these people.

Trying to reel back from what just happened, Jane quickly followed everyone leaving the room as she still kept a tight grip onto the metal pole in her hand. She couldn't believe Amadeus almost shot her head off. Okay, maybe she was over reacting quite a bit, but he sure as hell came pretty damn close. She had just about forgotten that guard who raised the gun to her face. But having a bullet whiz by her head? That was a different topic entirely. She wanted this man gone, he was way too careless firing a gun in a hospital. What if there were more of these fucking things walking around? She kept close to the group as they approached a waiting room noticing a large circular structure in the dead center. What was this? They all began to circle it...well that was until they noticed the word "VACCINE" on the container. Fantastic, now they could finally take this an get the fuck out of the hospital. She was starting to get tired of hearing these alarms and even though her eyes had mostly adjusted to the dark, she could still barely see a damn thing. She watched as Anna slid the keycard into the slot. "ACCESS DENIED" Of course, it would have been way too easy for it to work. As it became apparent they were going to go in search of a keycard, Jane walked over to one of the waiting chairs. As she leaned back slowly, carefully placing the metal pole on the ground, she covered her eyes with one of her hands and ran her other hand through her hair. She wanted to leave this place but she knew damn well she didn't want to go alone. Just as she let out a deep sigh, the sound of another gunshot filled the waiting room area. Jane sprung out of the chair picking up the metal pole from the ground looking over to see the man in the suit on the floor with two nurses covered in blood on top of him. She ran over just in time to see Anna pull them off, blood squirting everywhere, well mostly on Anna. Jane covered her mouth in attempt not to vomit. She watched Anna rip the gun from Amadeus' hand as she shot both of the nurses. "This is not happening. This isn't happening." Jane spoke to herself. Of course this is happening, just one more surprise after another. Jane stared down at Amadeus, blood spilling from his neck. Did I just fucking jinx this? She thought about how she just wished him gone minutes earlier. No, this can't be happening. She didn't actually want anything to happen to this man. "Fuck." That's all she could get out before Anna shot Amadeus. "Jesus Christ..." Jane could barely get out the words as she watched Amadeus instantly slip away. She looked over to the rest of the group, noticing that she wasn't the only one in shock. This guy was careless, but no one deserves to die like that. It was also becoming more clear to her what these things were...Zombies? No, that was ridiculous. Those are only in movies and shows. This is real life. They have to be just sick people. But if that were true then why did it seem like it was in their instinct to eat people? Jane stared up at the ceiling as the sound of the alarm continued to blare. There has to be a way to turn the fucking thing off. She scanned the room until she saw a map of the hospital taped to the wall. Walking over to it she pulled her phone out of her pocket shining the light onto it so she could get a better look. There are two staircases on opposite sides of the hospitals. One of those must lead to the basement. That has to be where the control panel for this fucking alarm is. She looked to the left of her at the hallway she and the group came from, then to the hallway door on the right. Not knowing what was down the other hallway, it was safe to say that going the way she came from was the best idea. Taking her gaze off the map she turned around to see Riley standing closest behind her. She didn't know him that well, but she didn't want to go alone. "We need to shut this alarm off, come with me?"

Riley Wells The last gunshot shook Riley to the core, seeing that it was Anna killing her Rambo friend. “Holy shit.”
Kim was screaming now, “Fuck.” At least she seemed to know the german man well enough to find comfort in his presence. Screaming couldn’t be attracting the good kind of attention. Those things were out for blood, and more undead bodies to animate. He looked closer at the body of the man as the red light flashed, his neck a gangling mess of torn flesh, uneven and looking like it could start sloughing off all on it’s own. Blood slowly trickling out now that there was no heartbeat to make it flow. He was lucky to die to a gunshot instead if he was being honest.
People seemed to be leaving to explore for the keycard. In theory a good idea, whether or not it was actually smart that was the question. There were clearly a bunch of the fucking undead wandering around the hospital ready to kill them all, so maybe small pairings wasn’t going to be the very best. But maybe they’d be fine.
But one of them had just fucking died. Who was he kidding? How many of them were going to make it out of the hospital. He wasn’t sure he would be one of them.
A voice addressed him though, the girl who he’d grabbed, “We need to shut this alarm off, come with me?”
She was looking about how he felt, freaked the fuck out but trying to stay as composed as possible in hopes of getting out of here alive. It took him a couple blinking moments to process her words, “Yeah, yeah lets stick together in this shit show.” She’d already figured out how to get to the basement, and they almost in sync said allowed that they should go the way they came. Not that there was any way they wouldn’t run into more, he didn’t want to think that way.
They headed back through the halls both on edge. Every little noise made his heart jump start all over again. “Maybe we’ll get lucky and none of the undead creepy people made it to the basement?” he offered, not really believing it, but not being able to take the lack of noise in the halls anymore.
He made sure that Anna got one of the knives, and was ready when he put his hand on the door to the stairwell. “Three, two, one…” he pushed the heavy metal door open and had a knife at the ready himself. He didn’t want to kill any of them, but honestly he didn’t want to die. At all.
His breathing very slowly steadying again when the stairwell looked clear. “Okay… I’ll do down first… stay close, alright?” Riley whispered in the echoing new space. He looked over at her, a bit worried. “We’ll turn this off and it’ll be alright. If we have to I think we can run faster than those things.”

Anna's head was spinning. She knew what she needed to do but she didn't know where to start. The girl with brown hair was screaming, the German seemed equally as shocked, the tattooed man was likely dead by now, and the brown haired boy and blonde were headed off back down the hall for god knows what. Anna just wanted to find the key to get to this fucking vaccination and get out- that's it. Why was that so hard? Putting the thought of killing Amadeus behind her she straightened up and approached girl and the German. "Look, shut up." She yelled at Kim who was on her way to calming down. "We need to find the key. Did we give names yet? I don't even remember. I don't even care. I'd like to keep it simple but its apparent that this whole situation is less than simple." Anna sighed and looked around, hoping nothing else was lurking near by. "Lets find the damn key and get out. My father was just assume to watch me die than get me from this shit hole hospital without the vaccinations." She knew he wanted them, she also knew he truly wouldn't come for her unless she had them. Did he know something about this whole hellish situation? Anna had a hunch that he may even have something to do with it. But how likely was it for the mob to have a vendetta our for Florida? Was this even happening anywhere else? Too many questions and not enough time to think about them. "Lets move down the hall, we're going to have to check rooms and hopefully we'll find someone-" she paused, inhaling deeply. "-or something with the keycard."

The way back to the Hospital seemed clear. Nothing had moved, not the cars and not the dead. The girl, Lana, was following in toe. She seemed to be face timing someone. It was odd, but that's what phones were for right? Speaking of, Ken pulled his out and glanced down to see a few messages from Dexter. They were alive, at least. He didn't want to reply, he was worried giving them a sign that he was also alive would jinx it.
Lana talked to him, though he was too focused on getting back to his sister for conversation. He imagined Lana was nervous and maybe talking was a coping mechanism. At any rate Kenneth just wanted to make sure they both were safe- this girl couldn't get hurt. She'd be too much of a liability. He wanted to be safe and keep this stranger safe so he could make it out of this alive with his sister and Dexter. "I'm sorry, love. I don't mean to ignore you. I just need to stay focused on getting back in there." He spoke as he stopped moving when they neared the edge of the hospital parking lot. Ken's eyes studied several paths that lead back to the window he hopped out of. He spotted three people ahead and he felt it was safe to assume they were already dead. Picking up any more people would be too dangerous right now.
"See that window?" Ken crouched down behind a car and pulled Lana's arm so she was eye level with him. He peered over the car's hood and pointed at the open hospital window. "We're going to get in through there. That room is safe, I'm going to lift you up into the window first and I'll climb in after you, alright?"

Through the awkward silence, Lana powered through. Maybe he was onto something, staying silent so nothing could find them. For all she knew, he was out here longer and knew better. Maybe he was trained, maybe he was ex-military - or even current. She didn't know, and she wouldn't assume against him (after all, he saved her life.) He was a natural leader, which she couldn't complain about because her strong suit lied in following orders, not making them. Perks of modeling, you can do almost anything. It wasn't until he spoke to her that she even snapped out of her thoughts. For some strange reason, she absolutely adored the way he called her 'love', whether it was the fact she hadn't had genuine human affection in who knows how long, or maybe it was just because it was always her favorite thing. Either way, it damn near sent chills down her spine, but she didn't want to be misconstrued as a complete lunatic with a random attraction to a stranger. In fact, she didn't even want an attraction to him in her logical mind; yes, he was her hero, but the world was going to shit and the last thing anyone needed was a relationship. Why was she even thinking about this right now?
Shaking her head, she muttered in response, "It's no problem, I don't mean to talk your ear off," she apologized, feeling a small tug on her arm as her body reflexively moved with it, now at eye level with a bent over Kenneth. Lana nodded, examining the window. "Thank you, for taking me I mean. Will you be okay?" she gestured to the few people roaming around at the bottom of the hospital. She had a gut feeling he would be, but wanted to be absolutely sure. She didn't want to endanger him in any way, especially seeing as he didn't have to help her in the first place. Besides, Lilianna physically didn't have it in herself to threaten someone's life. Her thoughts flooded her head, knowing that Kenneth had already thought this out, but insisting on making sure it was safe for them both; after all, who knew what could happen anymore?
"Hey, Kenneth? Don't take this the wrong way, I appreciate everything you've done for me, but if I'm dead weight at any point just leave me behind, okay?" she requested, all seriousness in her face at this request. She'd never in her life wanted to become a burden on anyone, not Dan, not her parents, nor this complete stranger before her. Everyone had their own people to take care of, for all she knew Kenneth's girlfriend was in this hospital room waiting for him to get back, or his mother and she'd personally never be able to forgive herself if she'd been the cause for someone to lose someone so close to them. She, after all, knew what that was like after Dan left. "I know it sounds silly, but just promise, okay?" she finished, laughing at herself a little before adjusting the sweater around her waist to make sure it was secure for their next acrobatic stunt. She was prone to be cold at some point, right? It was a hospital. Then again, with the heat outside and possibility of generators shutting down, it may have been like a sauna. She wanted to be prepared, though the idea of having no possible clue of what she was up against was positively terrifying for Lana. Yeah, she had some pretty gnarly control issues. She slung her backpack around, digging in it for a second before dropping her phone - which she'd managed to remember to set to silent - and taking out her pocket knife. She zipped up the front pocket of her eyed backpack and clipped the knife to her shorts pocket, now ready for if something did approach them. The last thing she wanted was Kenneth to feel obligated to use his gun and end up attracting dozens more of those sick, smelly things.
"If you're ready, I'm as ready as I'll ever be," she offered. It was a little frightening, having heard so much ruckus from the establishment that stood before her. "You have friends in there, right?" she wanted to make sure he at least had some reason for being so hellbent on returning to this shit-hole. "Let's hurry up and get you back to them, then," she said, using a ponytail from her wrist to tie her hair back into a loose bun so it'd stay out of the way.

It seemed like life was moving a mile a minute on the outside of her breakdown. From the safety of Dexter's arms Kim caught that Jane and Riley had left without a word, just headed back down the hall. Maybe they were the smart ones, getting out of here now. Or, trying to get out now... The other woman, she had a gun now. Kimberly trusted that less than she trusted the man that was now dead. She felt more uncomfortable and unsafe than ever and all she could do was stay there and wait for her brother. She couldn't leave even though every ounce of her soul screamed GET OUT NOW.
"Shh. Kim. It's ok. Just zon't look." His accent usually made her smile but right now it went through one ear and out the other.
Dexter looked less sure of himself than usual. Though the halls were mostly pitch black in the shine of the red alarm light Kim could make out his uncertainty. In a strange way his face brought her back to reality. Not because she'd like him or anything, but because the guy who was always so cocky and confident didn't seem that way now. That fact pulled her right back into reality and as if she could control her tantrums and breakdowns Kim stopped crying. She pulled away from Dexter and straightened her back, rotating her shoulder blades and cracking her neck. Millions of thoughts passed through her head in that very moment and somehow it was as if Kim has processed each one with great thought.
"Look, shut up." The woman began, addressing Kim as if she were still lost in a breakdown. It took all her self control not to reply with anything smart. Now wasn't the time.
"We need to find the key. Did we give names yet? I don't even remember. I don't even care. I'd like to keep it simple but its apparent that this whole situation is less than simple. Lets move down the hall, we're going to have to check rooms and hopefully we'll find someone- or something with the keycard." She seemed so sure of herself, like she knew what was actually going on. How could anyone be this calm right now? She just killed her friend! It was at this very moment that Kim knew she'd kill this woman if she but anyone else in danger. She'd do it and she didn't care what the consequences were if that's what it came down to.
The mobster had already moved down the hall that was behind her. She went alone, probably expecting Kim and Dexter to follow. Kim knew she was the type of woman who was in control, she could tell because that was who Kim was. She never liked competition, but unfortunately her competition had a gun and that left her in an obvious disadvantage.
Glancing up to Dexter Kim took a deep breath before speaking. "What are we doing, Dex?" She hollered over the alarm.
