Dexter continued to keep calm, even though he was sure Kimberly could see right through him. She had known him long enough to realized when he was off. It took him a few minutes for him to wrap his head around what happened. Everything seem all too surreal.
Dexter kept his arms around Kim not wanting to let her go. He wanted to protect her, to make sure she was alright. Fortunately, she did started to calm down somewhat, putting Dexter at ease. He loosened up his arms around her as Anna approached them.
Look, Shut Up
Dexter couldn't help but shoot the woman a glare. Who the fuck did she think she was? He wanted to say something, but bit his tongue. Picking a fight with someone who had a gun didn't seem like the smartest idea. There was a part of him that actually wished she had gone down with her partner.
His eyes shifted toward the rest of the group, who had decided to go their own way. He had over heard Jane saying something about turning off the blaring alarm. It was a good thing too. Maybe he would actually be able to think straight.
Before being able to respond to Anna, she had all ready started down the hall. Dexter scoffed with the shake of his head
"I can't stand zat voman"
He heard his name slip out from Kim's lips. She was right.. what were they doing? He thought for a moment before looking down to here, his lips forming a charming smile in hopes to potentially put Kimberly more at ease.
"Vell, maybe ve should go look for Kenneth. I zink he has been gone for too long. I zon't veally zink ve should help her, anyvays."
Dexter let out a chuckle as he let go of Kim taking her right hand in his left. If he wanted to find the location of Kenneth,he would have to find a safe place for them to exit. He was more than capable of protecting his best friend's sister. Even if it meant risking his own life.
He looked toward the door opposite from the one they had come from. Another stairwell. Of course, it was a way they hadn't gone before, but he knew there wasn't much from the way they had come. Keeping his grip on Kim's hand, he made his way towards the second stairwell door.
Looking back towards Kim, he nodded toward her releasing her hand. With a deep breath, he quickly opened the door examining the surroundings. Once it was clear, he had give Kim the OK.
"Make sure you stay close to me. Who knows? Maybe vee vill find the card to zee vaccines."
Dexter hoped that from here on out they would be clear of any danger. Whether or not it would end up that way, he would just have to find out. Unaware on just how dangerous this whole thing could get.

Jane found slight comfort in Riley's presence. The others were screaming every other minute at each other, and the tattooed man...Kenneth, still hadn't come back yet. She also couldn't understand why they were still in this hospital. It seemed like the longer they were in here, that more of these things were starting creep around the corners. Placing the knife Riley had just given her into her bag and pulling out her cellphone from her pants pocket, she turned on the flashlight preparing for their journey to the basement.
"Okay…I’ll do down first…stay close, alright? We’ll turn this off and it’ll be alright. If we have to I think we can run faster than those things.” Jane nodded to Riley as the metal door to the stairwell slammed shut behind them. She quickly spun around behind her shining her flashlight onto the door. They were going to be fine...they had to be. She sure as hell didn't want to die in this place. Though this was going to be quick and simple. She had a general idea of where the electrical panels were, but she was unsure whether or not more of those things would be down here. She stayed close to Riley as they made their way down the stairs. Her footsteps were much louder than she hoped, but it was a stairwell...the sound of her feet trudging down the steps were bound to bounce off the walls. "So, I'm not entirely sure what we are going to find in the basement. There is a good chance there will be little to no light down there." She looked over to Riley as they reached the first floor level of the hospital turning the corner staring down into the almost darkness of what she knew to be the basement. "Also, depending on the size of the basement, it could be very easy to find the electrical panels, or very hard. We just need to get in, shut the damn thing off and then get back to the rest of the group." Jane sighed before taking a deep breath as she took her first steps down the stairs. Walking ahead of Riley now, she still made sure to stay very close to him. She knew what she was doing, but she didn't want to get separated. As the two of them reached the base of the stairs they found themselves looking at another metal door. "Hopefully we're lucky and it's not locked." Jane glanced over to Riley. Hoping that he couldn't sense just how nervous she actually was. Is this really the smartest idea? I mean, they could just turn around right now and get back to the rest of the group. No...this alarm needed to be shut off immediately. Jane reached her hand out to grab the handle and taking a deep breath before giving the door a tight pull. With just the right amount of effort the door swung open about halfway. It seemed to be rusted. "Okay, are you ready?" Jane put her cellphone about halfway down her pocket so that the flashlight could still shine out. Putting both hands on the pole now she stepped through the doorway walking into some water on her way through. She looked up at a leaky pipe as a couple drops of water fell onto her face. They found themselves in a fairly open corridor. Boxes scattered everywhere, and all she could hear was dripping water. "So far so good. I don't hear anything besides water falling on the ground." Jane looked on the walls noticing several signs bolted to the concrete walls. Storage. Plumbing. None of those. Looking down a hallway without any sign, she looked over to Riley. "I think we should go down that hallway." She pointed down the hallway that was probably the darkest in the basement half choking out her words. "Jesus Christ. What am I saying. That's something a stupid person in a horror movie would say." She thought to herself, just how much more dumb could she sound? "We can do this. In and out."
As Jane began to walk down the dark hallway she also started to shiver a bit. It was very cold down here and she could feel the wetness of the damp walls on her skin. This was also a little creepy for a hospital basement. Then again I suppose it didn't matter what it looked like. I mean, it was in fact a basement after all. They aren't meant to look pretty. As she reached the end of the hall with Riley she turned to her left and there was another big door that had the words "ELECTRICAL" stamped across the middle. She walked over to it with Riley noticing that it was cracked open. Pushing the door open more with her foot, she reached into her pocket pulling her phone out again. Shining the light inside as she could fit her entire body through. She shot Riley a look that screamed don't leave my side. Walking into the room she shined her light around making sure none of those things were in the room with them. Not seeing any at first glance, she walked over to a big electrical panel with a key and a book hanging next to it on a metal chain. "Well it seems like they trust their staff a whole lot to leave the key to this right next to it."
Jane placed her weapon on the ground leaning it up against the wall. Putting her phone on top of the electrical box with the flashlight facing up as she grabbed the key to unlock the electrical panel. She put the key in and turned it to the unlock position and pulled open the cover. All she could see were knobs and buttons that were dimly lit up and a huge red lever. "Okay, in and out. I got this." She grabbed the book that was hanging on the chain and quickly flipped through it's pages until she reached the Shutting Off The Alarm page. Well that was easy. "You ready?" Looking over to Riley she didn't even wait for a response and just began. Turn the top knob to the right. Done. Turn the bottom knob to the left. Done. Turn the middle knob to the right. Done. Now press the 1 and 2 buttons, and pull the red lever down. Here it goes. Following the final instructions she gripped her hand onto the lever and pulled it to the down position. Just as she did so, whatever light that was in the basement shut off, along with the alarm. It was pitch black except for the light that was shining from her phone. She picked up her phone and looked at the main screen noticing a "Low Battery" message.
"Fuck!"

The alarm stopped, leaving the basement pitch black. No more red flashing lights, just total darkness. This would have been fine, save for the fact that once the wailing of the emergency alarm shut off the hospital basement was filled with the sound of hissing and moaning, much like the sound the nurse from the second floor that went for Jane had made.
“Do you hear that?” Riley asked Jane, his own breath stick deep within his chest.
“Mmhmm.” Jane nodded. She felt the urge to take her phone back out and flip the flashlight on, but her phone was almost dead. She was also worried that the light might attract something nearby. Before she could even suggest keeping the lights off Riley already had his cell phone out and the flashlight shining in her eyes.
“God, that’s bright.” She whined, her hands racing to her eyes. “I’m not sure the light is such a good idea.”
“Well we need to see to get out if this maze.” Riley flashed the light around them, illuminating the fuse box once more before turning to face the door they entered through.
He wasn’t wrong, it was so dark in the basement and Jane only had a faint idea of how to get back to the stairs.
“But those sounds... they sound pretty close.” She said quietly. “What if it’s...”
“We just need to run back to the stairwell. Just don’t stop ok?” Riley sounded nervous but he seemed to have the plan as formulated as a two second plan could be.
“Ok. Ok, just don’t stop. Got it. You have to go first though... you have the light.” She grimaced at him, pursing her lips at the obviously dangerous and terrifying position he was in.
“Fuck.” Riley whispered. “Ok, well. Let’s just go. I don’t want to think about it.” He grabbed Jane’s hand in his and stepped outside of the fuse room, the flashlight bouncing from from left to right to check the path. He pulled her straight down the hall, both of them sprinting. The groaning neared, they were heading in whatever was down here’s direction.
“Riley!” Jane screamed as the flashlight passed over a body leaning up against the wall. Before Riley could even process her shriek he stumbled over its outstretched legs and into its lap.
“Fuck! No!” Riley panicked, his phone sliding a few feet away from him. In the dark of the basement Jane could hear his screamed of terror. They were matched closely to the sound of hissing and gurgling. Though, now those sounds sounded wet.
In a panic Jane ran to the face down cell phone and flashed the light in Riley’s direction. He was on his hands and knees, his left forearm locked into the jaw of a man dressed in military uniform. Her ears rang with his blood curdling cries for help. She was in shock, she didn’t know what to do but she knew she had to do *something. *
Thinking as quickly as she could Jane spun the metal rod in her hands forward and with one swift movement she lunges forward, the rod aimed straight for the military corpses eye. All at once the sound of tissues being pierced, fleshing ripping, and Riley’s cries filled her ears and Jane backed up against the wall, the metal rod firmly lodged in the things skull.
Jane fell to the floor and vomited.
“Oh my god. Oh my fucking god. What happened? Am I going to die?” Riley was frantic.
“Calm down. We need to get out.” Jane didn’t even know what she was saying. She didn’t really know what to say...
“Am I going to die?” Riley asked again. Jane chose to ignore the question. She couldn’t answer it, she didn’t want to even consider the answers.
“You’ve got the med kit on you, we can bandage you up once we’re back upstairs. Come on!” She helped him off the floor, blood dripping from his forearm into her hands. She held Riley’s phone tightly as the blood made it harder to keep straight. As she led Riley ahead of her towards the basement stairwell and noticed the military man she just stabbed in the head had a gun at his hip. *Get the gun. Just take it. * She coached herself in her head. With a quick movement she bent down and reached for the gun, yanking it from its holster and gripping it tightly. She didn’t know how it worked, but she assumed it was loaded...

A N N A. C H R O L L O.
Before Anna knew it she was alone in the hospital hall. The German and the annoying little twat had left her. Cowards. She continued forwards, her slender fingers painted red wrapped tightly around the gun.
She wondered how her life amounted to this very moment. While the alarm blared in her ears she kept her thoughts locked inside her own mind as she quietly traversed the hall. As she passed rooms she leaked though windows if they weren’t blocked. Most rooms had patients who had already became these monsters inside. Some were strapped down, others had broke free and wondered around the four walled cell. How many others were walking around freely?
The alarm stopped.
In the sudden silence of the second floor Anna’s temples slowly stopped pounding, the blood flow to her brain running normally again. Though, to her demise the alarm was replaced with the haunting sound of the creates behind the doors all around her, she god damn was it loud.

"...will you be okay?" Lana asked looking at the things walking menacingly around the hospital. Kenneth inhaled deeply and instinctively reached into his pocked for his cigarettes. Hands shaking he whipped the lighter out, flame flickering weakly, and took a long drag before glancing over to the silver-haired girl.
"Yeah, I should be fine." He half smiled. He had to, he couldn't not be fine. Ken breathed in the nicotine filled smoke again and exhaled. His temples were pounding, that alarm was going to be the death of him, among other things. "Hey, Kenneth? Don't take this the wrong way, I appreciate everything you've done for me, but if I'm dead weight at any point just leave me behind, okay?" The girl looked very serious and Kenneth almost couldn't believe her request. She didn't have much faith in herself, Ken wanted to change that. "I know it sounds silly, but just promise, okay?"
"I won't promise." Ken dragged his cigarette one more time before clipping the small butt and sliding the 3 breathes back into the pack. "I won't because I can't do that to anyone. You're going to be fine, just stay with me." He attempted a smile again, making eye contact with the pretty girl. What was she even doing out here alone? How did she get on top of that ambulance? Questions for later, he supposed.
"If you're ready, I'm as ready as I'll ever be. You have friends in there, right? Let's hurry up and get you back to them, then." She tried to smile, too. He watched as she pulled her long hair back off her face into a bun and he knew she was as ready as anyone could be for an endeavor like this.
"Ok. Stay close, when we're over there I'll lift you into the window." Ken stood up straight and grabbed Lana's hand, pulling her around the hood of the car and weaving her in and out of the scattered vehicles, avoiding the things pacing around as best he could.
It seemed one of the things that was further down the lot had noticed them running, but it had a way to walk before it reached them at the window. But, to be safe, Ken nudged Lana in front of him and pulled his hand away, pulling the revolver out in her place.
"Go straight to the window." He yelled in her ear as they grew closer to the alarm. "I'll lift-" Just as he was yelling the alarm miraculously stopped, but as the words finished leaving his mouth he realized he was yelling, and now everything around them was looking their way. "-you into the room." Ken drew a sharp inhale before pushing Lana forward again towards the windowsill. They were so close, they were going to make it. They had to!
"Fuck, don't stop Lana. Run!" He yelled again in a panic. Several of these undead being were trudging their way over to the two and a few were getting too close for comfort.
They made it to the windowsill and before Lana could even speak Kenneth lifted her off her feet by her hips and with all the adrenaline he could muster he pulled her up to his shoulders.
"GO! Climb into the window!" He yelled. His body was pressed right up to the hospital and all she had to to was climb forward. Thankfully the girl pulled away from Ken's shoulders and he looked up to see her on the inside of the hospital.
Kenneth glanced behind him before tossing his skateboard into the window and shoving the revolver back into his pocket. To his demise a woman dressed in a blood-covered suit was at his back, he could hear her hissing and moaning clear now that the alarm was off. He didn't want to use the gun, not yet. With all his might he kicked her in the chest sending her flying into the pavement. Moving quickly Ken jumped for the windowsill, his hands grabbing at the ridges for the sliding window and pulling his body up, swinging a leg into the room.
Once her was inside safe he collapsed to the floor. "Jesus fucking christ." He wheezed, pulling out the butt he saved and lighting it again. "Im alive. I'm alive." He was breathing heavy, whispering to himself. In his adrenaline-induced daze remembered Lana was there and he lifted himself to his knees. "Are you ok?"

Lilianna couldn't believe what was going on around her, and that was just an understatement of the events that'd unfolded. She felt like her past three months had all led up to this catastrophe. It seemed to all blend together, anyway. Her eyes followed Kenneth's hands as his fingers slid into the carton and pulled out a cigarette. She couldn't blame him, everyone had a vice and needed an escape. "I'll need more than a try," she objected, pulling a smirk to her face. It was after that point that Kenneth had denied her request of leaving her behind if need be. "Look, you've got a lot more to lose than I do," she replied simply after hearing his reasoning. She wasn't going to argue with him, it was going to either be her against the world at some point, or her dead. She didn't want to be dead weight on anyone. Not anymore. She had enough of being a bother, after all she was nothing but a nuisance to Dan for who knows how long.
It wasn't long before Kenneth gave her a few orders of his own, wrapped her hand in his own, and then began to run. She followed along, keeping her breathing as regulated as she could before she was let go of and allowed in front of Kenneth. She was more than grateful that he had his revolver, but she always had a sinking feeling that something bad would happen. She couldn't explain it, but it felt too easy at this point. Before she could so much as run three steps, Kenneth was shouting past the alarm and into her ear. It was then that the alarm shut off and multiple eyes found their way to Ken and Lana. Oh, so this was the sinking feeling that she had. That was fantastic.
Hearing the urgency in Ken's voice, she decided to make this as non-stressful as possible and took in a sharp breath. Exhaling slowly, she began sprinting now, he hands at her sides. She could run at a decent speed, but could run for along period of time due to the training she had done for modeling. As they reached the window, Lana opened her mouth to ask Kenneth what the next move was but before the opportunity even arose, she felt his hands slide around her waist and her feet rise from the ground. Taking in a shocked breath, her eyes widened though her hands rose to the window and she began to pull. As her body rose, her adrenaline began to pump. She lifted a leg and pulled herself into the window before rolling onto the floor and out of Kenneth's path. Her eyes scanned the room to ensure that it was as safe as Kenneth had planned. To her relief, nothing was in there, however she couldn't be fully relaxed yet.
Rushing forward, she quickly moved the skateboard that'd been tossed in and threw her hand onto Ken's arm, pulling him up as best as she could without being too rough on him. Once he was in, she let go and let him lie on the floor for a moment. God knows he deserved that rest. Almost as if they'd read each others minds, the two managed to utter "Are you okay?" at the same time. "You had me worried there for a second," she let out a single laugh before swinging her bag around her. She pulled out a half-drunken water bottle and held it out towards Kenneth. "Here, take some," she more-so ordered, her breathing still heavy but not nearly as rapid as Kenneth's. "I'm fine. Thank you for watching out for me," she smiled, this time a bit more genuine. For some reason it felt nice for someone to be watching out for her again. She'd never admit it, but it did make her feel a bit better. Where // Outside of the Hospital
Wearing // Casual (With a black sweater around her waist)
With // Alone, and terrified
