The Plot Progresses...
The following is your first plot prompt. While you write your character's intro you should also be working them into this plot. You may do so how ever you please, but by the end of your intro post your character(s) should be located on scene.
It's been five days since the first instance of this virus in Tampa, Florida. It's safe to say things haven't really calmed down. It's been noted that all persons attacked by the man at TPA have all died... America is in a panic and the media and even the FDA are failing to provide any reason for this violent strain of the flu. There is still no source of origin except for the airport man, and though he and all the people he attacked are now dead the virus has somehow still spread. Investigators are working to find if any of the originals, which is what they're referring to the few at the airport who were effected as, attacked anyone else before dying. Nothing has been confirmed, but based on it's rapidly spreading conditions, especially in Florida, they must have.
The FDA put out an alert for the state of Florida, and only the state of Florida. They're offering Florida's residents a chance to try the vaccination they're working on. It's first come first serve and no charge to try. So far it's not been proven to work, but it's also not been proven to not work... Anyone who is willing to travel to Sarasota hospital to get a vaccination are welcome. They will only serve several hundred Florida residents. The vaccination is being called a "safe bet" and people are saying you'd be silly not to try and get it. It's the only logical thing to do...
Your character should make their way to Sarasota to try this vaccination, even if they're not truly interested in it.
Once your character arrives at the hospital they should notice a few things.
Upon entering Sarasota, which is close to Tampa, your character may notice that there are many people wearing face masks. Life seems to be carrying on as normal, however there are more people wearing these masks than not.
As your character approaches Sarasota Hospital, they are very likely to notice army men with guns. They are standing around the outside of, and nearby the hospital.
Once inside the hospital your character will notice there are hundreds of people in a panic to receive this vaccination, however it does not appear that anyone is actually being served... The men with guns are stalking the crowd, watching everyone become more and more angry. There are people mostly standing, however some who are sitting around the edges of the room appear sickly. The men with guns are obviously keeping a close eye on those people in particular.
A handy map in case you're unfamiliar with Florida.
